A Note from the Owner
I started Duxbury Counseling because I wanted to create the kind of practice where clinicians feel supported—not overwhelmed.
Duxbury Counseling represents the next step in my long-established private psychotherapy practice, Shawna Weekly Psychotherapy. As the demand for high-quality mental health care continues to grow in Duxbury and the surrounding communities, I expanded into a group practice so we can help more individuals, couples, and families while building a team of skilled clinicians who share a commitment to effective, compassionate care.
My goal has always been to create a collaborative practice where clinicians can focus on what brought them to this field in the first place: helping clients. Therapy is meaningful work, and clinicians should be able to spend their time providing care—not worrying about paperwork, insurance systems, building a caseload, or the administrative demands of running a private practice.
As a Duxbury Counseling therapist, you’ll benefit from my 25+ years of experience through ongoing support, mentorship, and formal supervision. You’ll have the opportunity to grow professionally while being part of a team that values collaboration, clinical excellence, and work-life balance. We provide the infrastructure and support that allows you to focus on your clients, including assistance with administrative tasks, insurance processes, and developing a full caseload. We are also committed to expanding access to care in our community, including opportunities to support the mental health needs of school-aged children and families.
If you’re looking for a practice where you can build a rewarding career, feel valued, and be supported every step of the way, I’d love to hear from you.
