School-Based
Mental Health Services

We believe everyone deserves access to therapy, but with busy schedules, that's not always easy. That's why we partner directly with schools, embedding a clinician into the environment students already know and trust. By working alongside school counseling teams, we can offer necessary support to ensure students have access to quality mental health care.

School-based counseling makes accessing mental health support simple and convenient. Students receive therapy during the school day in a familiar environment, eliminating transportation barriers and scheduling challenges. Parents stay informed and involved throughout the process, without needing to take time away from work for appointments.

How it Works:

School Partnership

Duxbury Counseling partners with your school to provide licensed mental health clinicians on campus during the school day, making support more accessible for students and families.

Student Referral

A student may be referred by a school counselor, teacher, administrator, parent, or guardian when additional emotional or behavioral support may be beneficial.

Parent Consent & Intake

Before services begin, parents or guardians complete consent forms and intake paperwork directly with Duxbury Counseling. Our team helps guide families through the process.

Therapy Sessions at School

Students meet individually with a licensed clinician in a private, confidential space during the school day, minimizing disruptions to family schedules.

Insurance Billing

Services are billed directly through the family's insurance plan. There is no financial cost to the school district for clinical services.

Collaborative Support

With parent or guardian permission, clinicians collaborate with school personnel to help ensure students receive coordinated support both in and out of the classroom.
